Fitting Plant Supports and Training Wires into Greenhouses
There are many options for fitting plant supports into greenhouses, not every option is suitable for every greenhouse, this guide should help determine which is best for you
Plant Support Options
There are many ways to support plants in your greenhouse, from individual supports to wire kits supporting multiple plants there are options for every circumstance
ElloWires
Our Wire Kits are made in house here in Yorkshire with stainless steel wire and Elite bolts, we make them sized specifically to fit Elite Greenhouses but sometimes it is possible for us to make modified kits for other brands, ElloWires fit into the bolt channels in Elite corner bars and into each glazing bar in between, they can be tensioned by the turn buckle and offer a very sturdy line to drop multiple vertical lines to support heavy cropping plants
ElloHooks
Ellohooks are simple but very effective and strong, the rectangular foot simply pushes into the glazing bar and twists to lock into place, they can be used to provide support for individual plants or as a sturdy set of anchor points to run a horizontal line to support many plants from.
In greenhouses which don't have bolt channels in the corner bars (Halls, Eden, Palram, Simplicity, amongst others) the supports can only be attached to the inner bars, in cases like this Ellohooks can be used where possible and string tied off into the gables as shown, in this example because the string has to slope down into the gables; I have tied a loop into the line to provide a sturdy point where a vertical line can be tied to support plants without slippage.

Our Cropped Ring Bolts are made in house here in Yorkshire with genuine Elite aluminium bolts and rings made from stainless steel, they can be used similarly to ElloHooks by providing support for individual plants or to create a horizontal line for multiple plants to be supported from
